Day 1- Your favorite song
Let There Be Rock- Drive-by Truckers
There are a few things I’m a sucker for in rock; pure hard all out rock n’ roll, a message, name checking other bands, drugs and alcohol. This song is one of the best songs by the greatest living rock band. And the fact that every band/artist they reference has multiple songs on my iPod gives this a special place in my heart. The truckers are about as old as mine and my friends parents and their is a very strong(immature?) part of us all that wants to pull some kind of stoned or drunken feat that would amaze even our old men. I like how this song shows the passiveness everyone had for drugs and alcohol in the 70’s before too many people got too wild.
